Day 04 of Mayan Discovery (by G Adventures)

G-Adventures program of the day:

“Sit back and relax on a travel to Palenque in the lush jungle of Chiapas.

First-class bus Mérida – Palenque 9h-10h 620km
Ride on in style. This sure isn’t your grandmother’s public bus.
We recommend to bring a sweater for the bus as they can be overly air-conditioned. There are toilets on the bus and the occasional stop to stretch your legs or pick up snacks.”

On recommendation of Lola we plan to interrupt the long drive with the ruins to Uxmal.

We get up early, pack our things and go down to the lobby and get the 30 pesos breakfast. Check out was complicated as you have to return all remote controls (TV and AC). Once we did this … we inhale the breakfast rules and start. I go to the bakery around the corner and get a lunch package.

At 07:30 am we are leaving, luckily in the larger bus again and go. After some hours we arrive at Uxmal and have tour at the ruins.

Then we continue to Campeche and have lunch there.

After lunch we continue our ride to Palenque to our hotel Maya Bell. There we arrive at 7:00 PM, get our rooms, shower and have dinner at 08:15 PM. Then we do the group schedule for tomorrow and the day after and go to sleep …
