Slept in a bed. Wonderful. The last 4 nights in a tent have been so windy, that i woke up more than once every night, because it looked like the tent will either fly oder collapse!

The alarm clock rings at 06:00 am, we close the bags and took them to breakfast downstairs. We call a taxi for 07:20 am as we still have to get the prebooked bus tickets to El Calafate by 07:30 am. The bus will leave at 08:00 am and go for 5 hours. If we will encounter the same delay at the chileno – Argentinian border as we had at the time coming here, we will need at least 7 hrs.

The taxi is on time, cheap as always in El Chalten. Everythings is easy with getting the bus tickets at the bus station and getting on the bus. Border control needs only 30 min (the argentinians donot care which plants or animals are imported). Aircondition in the bus works only binary (on/off). It is colder than in Tierra del Fuego. My passport transforms into an in/out argentine/chile stamp collection book.

In El Calafate we take a Taxi from the bus station to Hosteria Del Glacier, where we already stayed twice. At the reception we book an airport transfer for 05:30 pm, put our bags in the locker room and go for food. No voucher based lunch box!! We find some typical argentinian food, not occasionally cheap, but proper. Christina seeks out a brand new nespresso machine and takes 2 ristretto black and takes them in one shot. According to the mimic of waitress and cook they never saw a coffein addict before.

Afterwards we go to Don Luis for a cake or two …

Next is to find Gaffa tape to repair Christinas backpack flight cover. The only shop with repair tape has lunch break from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm and is not there at 05:15 pm. So we walk to Hosteria del Glacier, get our bags back and wait for the minibus transfer to El Calafate Airport. This is 130 A$ pP and easy and fast. At the Airport we checkin SkyPriority and are (as usual) first on the plane:

Expected arrival Buenos Aires AEP 10:55 pm. Nice flight. I watch King Arthur, crap movie.

FLIGHT 6: Aerolineas Argentinas AR1821 from El Calafate (FTE) 20:00 to Buenos Aires (AEP) 22:55, duration 3h55, 643 Delta Skymiles.

In Buenos Aires we take a Taxi, which makes a touristic tour through Buenos Aires (never trust a Taxi driver in Buenos Aires) and decide not to fight about 3 eur. He is happy. We are in the Hotel.

In Buenos Aires we stay another night in Hotel Madero until we will fly tomorrow on to Iguazu Falls.
