It is February 6th at Lake Kununurra Discovery Park. It is 831 km to Darwin and 4.583 km to Melbourne and it’s, guess what, raining. We go east.

We start driving with some water crossings. Breakfast somewhere in the kimberleys as soon as it stops raining.

Behind us highway one is flooded and locked up. Some people already turn around while we go through, heavy car, will not swim. 

We head for katherine to get some food (coffee gets low), and head for katherine gorge.
