Day 11 of Full Costa Rica adventure by Bamba Experience

Todays itinerary:
“Monteverde to Manuel Antonio

Get picked up by a shared van of Interbus at El Establo Mountain Hotel at 08:15 am, drive 5 hrs from Monteverde to Jungle Vista inn, Manuel Antonio”

Sunrise from my room:

I call a shuttle at 7:00 am, leave my luggage at the reception and go for breakfast.

After breakfast i board the shuttle and go for Manuel Antonio. We make a toilet break. Surprisingly at a huge souvenir shop. Unfortunately they serve only buffet, icecream. No snacks. It is superhot.

The route follows the pacific ocean.

Finally I arrive at Jungle Vista Inn. There is no one there. All locked. The shuttle leaves. On the door there is a sign, that I have to checkin at Los Altos Hotel. I call them. They tell me that I have to come up with my luggage. It is 800 meters steep up the hill. Surely not. I negotiate. They come and pick me.

Los Altos is a 4* hotel. Jungle Inn is self serviced appartments. No shuttle. Ok. I check in, room is not ready. It is a 60 m2 appartment, but and furnished in the 70ies. Romantic, dislocated, unserviced. It is only two nights, I can use Los Altos facilities. I get a 80 usd credit for the restaurant, because of construction works at Jungle Inn. Super.

I get a beach towel and get something to eat at the restaurant. Food and service are excellent.

I walk down the beach. It is steep down. The beach is very rocky, hard to get in at high tide – water is very cloudy. There is a sloth. Sunbeds are for free. The watersports guy trys to rent me a kayak. Not now.

I call for a shuttle, a toyota pick up comes and shuttles me uphill. Room is ready. I get my luggage from the locker and get shuttled to Jungle Vista. 4 appartments only, the driver explains everything and leaves.

If they would get their Rating according to the dekorative cushions, they would be 7 star.

Shower, dinner at the Thai restaurant, get coffee from the supermarket (everywhere is a supermarket here), get money from banca costa rica (BCR) – no charge.

The people from Los Altos brought lunch package for todays tour to Manuel Antonio National Park. Next life I will innovate the first delicious hotel lunch package and will get a billionaire with it
